I am not averse to reimaginations
Given you walked out of my conversation
As a noetic effect of its distillation
I am not chained to inharmonious juxtapositions
When salubrious angels gather in celebration
Of a desire prayed and given manifestation
I am simply thankful for your gravitation
Towards me, bindingly, irradiate sub-atomic fusion
Where once I envisioned only solitary annihilation
Yet this I wonder, and this in never-ending fascination
How in moments your eyes gray meet my brown it’s recreation
Of a space-time-matter continuum of conflagration

Nicely done, Dora! I enjoyed the rhyme scheme – well done for keeping it going and for the use of the adjective ‘noetic’. I especially love the coming together of grey and brown eyes in the final stanza.

Thank you, Kim, my husband’s eyes are gray and I could write about them interminably 🙂

I love how you used the image of gravitation to explain the attraction to those eyes in the final stanza.

I love how the field narrows, from universal physics to the fire between the shared gaze of two. Wonderful!

An entertaining read. I enjoyed the musings, the rhyme and the way the eyes meet in the end, the undeniable attraction.

Very nice Multiple Syllabication, Dora. And all in support of a very warm message. I esp liked the binding gravitational pull. Salute!

I love the conclusion of your poem – light yet full of giddiness with the discovery of attraction:
How in moments your eyes gray meet my brown it’s recreation
Of a space-time-matter continuum of conflagration

A very nice poem Dora, with a theological feel winding through it!.. The Hubble eye is amazing!

What could be more powerful than the pull of gravity with atomic force, those are some eyes to behold.

Ha! Thank you, Mary, although it was only in service to the persona’s attempt to cling to “logic” in the face of what couldn’t be easily explained.
