POETIC JUSTICE
“Hold on,” said Ben who had just gotten dumped by the barmaid, “I feel a limerick coming on.”
“Is it painful?” asked cheeky Dotty McDonald.
“Just five lines in anapestic.”
“Painful, then. Let’s have it.”
There once was a barmaid who never
Spared a kind word for this feller
While she binged on the prunes
He bought her from Koon’s
He absconded with her toilet paper.
“A revenge poem. I like that,” Dotty hooted. “Is it true?”
“Clever devil. It took some planning,” his buddy John remarked.
“There’s no going back after that,” Ben admitted. “Another romance down the toilet.”

Never, ever, date anyone who makes limericks

Dotty, like most females, carries a packet of tissues in her purse. So there, Ben! 😉

Have to agree with you, Keith. Maybe he’ll give her chocolates and make up.

When I was young, me and another boy stretched clear plastic wrap over several toilet bowls in a campground bathroom. I’m sure several people felt the lasting effects. 🙂

I’ve heard of that dastardly ploy! Hope it didn’t rebound. 🙂

Poor Ben, how many girls will dump him before he becomes a Poet Laureate.
I loved the warm humour in your story.

Who binges on prunes?

Not you, eh? We have to surmise she had a sweet tooth for candied prunes or such. 🙂
