carpet the world blue
stars upon stars fallen down
robe me in green gowns
loose planets into meadows
lay me down in starry blue

For Cee's FOTD and Eugi's Weekly Prompt, "Meadows"

There’s no substitute for beauty captured,
whether in a vase or in a verse,
whether in a far-flung meadow
or a garden plot,
whether outdoors or indoors in a pot.
O what divine glory it proclaims!
For Cee's FOTD
She’s close.
She’s closer.
She’s gone!
Or:
Exit hare pursued by iPhone camera.
For Debbie's Six Word Saturday Challenge
I’ve dotted my ‘i’s
and crossed my ‘t’s
restless
for a spot of afternoon tea
in my garden retreat
Disclaimer: This photo’s from my neighbor’s garden. So many of my neighbors are dedicated gardeners and it’s a pleasure to admire their lovely gardens on my walks. I have no garden, but a lovely balcony. It’s good for a spot of tea too!
Green grows my garden
Where beds of daffodils dance
Nodding merry heads
For Cee’s Flower of the Day challenge: “Don’t forget that my FOTD challenge accepts leaves and berries as well as flowers.“
A dandelion a day
Keeps the blues away;
Daffodils at play
Keep the tears at bay.
Out of the ground they spring
With joy abounding
A promise of life to bring
To hearts in waiting.
“Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?'”
John 11: 25-26
Deuteronomy 7: 9 — Know therefore that the LORD your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations.
Ephesians 1: 3-4 — Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him.
Psalm 27:5 — For he will hide me in his shelter in the day of trouble; he will conceal me under the cover of his tent; he will lift me high upon a rock.
Cee's FOTD Challenge
Many, perhaps, from so simple a flower,
This little lesson may borrow,
Patient today, through its gloomiest hour,
We come out the brighter tomorrow.
